Learn
This course teaches you to run, change and build your own work app. Lessons 1 to 7 are your first hour: by the end you have a running app with your role, your goals, your people and your tasks in it, you have changed a module, and you have built a module of your own. Lesson 8 comes after, when you want it.
You learn by doing. Each lesson gives you prompts to type to Claude in the Code tab of the Claude desktop app. Claude does the work, explains what it changed, and you check the result in your browser. You never type a command.
How a lesson works
Every lesson has the same parts, so you always know where you are:
Copy the prompts as they are the first time. Once you see how they work, change the words to fit your own job.
The path
You move along four stages. The first hour takes you through two of them.
Lesson 7 gives you a first taste of module building with a guided example, Accounts. Becoming a module builder is what you teach yourself afterwards; What next shows the way.
The lessons
Lessons 1 to 7 add up to one hour.
Sam's first hour
Sam is a customer success manager at Brightlane, a software company, and new in the role. Their hour looks like this:
- Sam copies the setup prompt from Get Code on starta.dev/create and pastes it into the Code tab. Claude makes the work app and opens it in the browser.
- Claude interviews Sam about the role and fills in About.
- Sam adds five goals, such as renewals closed and net revenue retention, each with a start value, a target and a target date.
- Sam adds Maya Okafor at Tallow & Co and Daniel Reyes at Harbourline Logistics to People.
- Sam lists this week's follow-ups in Tasks.
- Sam adds a Region column to People, has Claude save a version with git, and takes one change back to see that it works.
- Sam builds an Accounts module with the columns they need and adds their real accounts.
Sam leaves with a list of follow-ups to open tomorrow morning.
