11 October 2026 - First release
The first Starta kit. Your own work app with Tasks, People, Goals, Wiki and About, built by asking Claude.
Starta starts here: your own work app, which you build by asking Claude.
The kit is a small app for one person’s job. It runs on your own machine, at http://localhost:9950, with no hosting, sign-in or connectors. Its data is plain files you own, and Claude keeps them current.
Five modules#
A new app starts with five entries in its sidebar, each with example data for a made-up customer success manager at Brightlane:
| Module | Holds |
|---|---|
| Tasks | What you have to do, as a list you tick off. The app opens here |
| People | Who you work with, as a table |
| Goals | What you are measured on, as cards with a value, a target and a date |
| Wiki | How the app works, the Learn course, and what you learn |
| About | Your role, written by Claude after it interviews you |
Your own module, such as Partners, is one module file and one data file: ask Claude.
Create#
Pick the look in Create, and Get Code gives you a prompt to paste into the Code tab of the Claude desktop app. Claude makes the app, opens it, and interviews you for About and Goals. See Quickstart.
Themes#
Neutral, Notion, Airbnb, Stripe or Neo-brutalist, with eight colours, six fonts and 48 logo marks. The whole pick is one preset code, fQnA by default. See Themes.
The CLI#
starta init, list, add, remove, update and apply, run for you by Claude. See CLI.
